LQ150X1LGN2A, How to Install LED Backlight

The Sharp LQ150X1LGN2A is originally equipped with two L-shaped CCFL lamps. Installing LED backlights on this panel is not as simple as on LCD screens with straight CCFL lamps, so you will need to modify the original plastic frame's structure. LED upgrade kit

Remove Circuit board, CCFL wires, polarized film and liquor glass from plastic frame

Remove CCFL assembly from plastic frame

Remove the light-guiding plexiglass, cut off the ends, remove the CCFL lamps and remove the aluminum bars using a utility knife

Modify all four corners of the plastic frame as shown in the following photos.

After modifying the four corners of the plastic frame, install the backlight assembly back onto the plastic frame, mount the LED strips, and install the light-guiding plexiglass. 

Install the polarize  films, liquor glass, circuit board back onto the LCD.
